Historic Structures


Weekly guided tours of Pontresina's sights.
The most important historic structures are:
  • the pentagonal 13th-century Spaniola tower, a dwelling tower and home of the de Pont Zarasino rulers.

  • old Engadine houses from the 17th century with sgraffiti murals

  • the Punt Ota and Roseg bridges (18th and 19th centuries respectively)

  • the tiny Santa Maria mountain church with precious frescos from the 13th and 15th centuries


For Pontresina guests (except for groups), all guided tours are subject to no charge other than for transport. Insurance cover is the participants' responsibility.
